Pretty, Pretty, Palettes…

June 2, 2008

I was looking around at some color palettes on Colourlovers.com – and, I came across a few pretty things that I thought I would work into some type of wedding theme…

Here is my choice for the day:

So, what do we have in store to match?

GaGaVida Green White Wedding Hair Comb

Hair piece by GaGaVida!

First of all, I love this hairpiece – it is actually one of my designs, and I just listed it today… but, I love it! I made it while in wedding planning mode – can you tell? Check it out at GaGaVida for $20!

Odille Lingerie in Pale Green

How about this? A very pale green lace lingerie set – originally found at Asos.com – designed by Odille.

Gorgeous ring!

I ADORE this ring… from Fragments Rings for $6,225

Lime Green Invites!

Lemon
Yummy… lemon or lime invites by Wedding Paper Divas

Yummy green things from Starbucks

All of that green stuff makes me thirst as well… when wedding shopping – you must refresh at some point, right?? By Starbucks.

Gold polka dot delights...

Love this… looks so comfy! Gold polka dot dress by J.Crew… as well as the bracelet below…

Yellow pearl bracelet

Very pretty! Would work for the bride, or her bridesmaids in these dresses (also by J.Crew.)

Don’t forget your purses, girls! By J.Crew also…

And, one more stunning piece by Fragments also (see previous link)…

That ring is to DIE for… $760

More from J.Crew… pretty little strappy sandals that match everybody and everything!

While you wear my hair comb mentioned previously – why now add in a few tiny freesia or orchids – then, add some butterfly effects to the bridesmaids!

Butterflies from 3-D Insects shop found at Etsy.com!

While you are going green – why not add a green classic bicycle (vintage) to the mix… great for photos!

bike!

Finally, the easiest way for a bride to add her “something old” item, and to add a vintage feel to any wedding piece – gather up some vintage buttons!

You are bound to find some great materials, such as gorgeous mother of pearl – add them to the inside of your dress, or dress up purses, sashes, corsages… almost anything, really!

Voila!

Enjoy, green-ies!

My little design palettes…

March 5, 2008

As my own wedding comes closer by the second, I have been doing some of my own design and research for my wedding…

I thought that I would share these – they are the individual design palettes that I created for each one of my bridesmaids, plus one that shows all of the the bridesmaids together. This was what I did as my way of showing them their dresses for the first time – and, I mailed a copy of their dress palette, plus the palette for all bridesmaids (plus a few instructions) as one package that was held together with black satin ribbon.

I had fun doing it, and I think that they were psyched to receive a package in the mail! :)

This is the palette showing all the bridesmaids looks…
This was the palette for my bridesmaid Rebecca…
This was for bridesmaid Sarah, and 1 of 2 Maids of Honor – Shauna…
This was for 2 of 2 Maids of Honor Jessica…
All of the dresses were picked from J.Crew’s wedding section (which, I think is only on their website.)
They have their choice on shoes, as long as they are solid black patent… the flats on their palettes are from Target (very inexpensive and cute option!) The second pair is from Nordstrom, and is quite a bit pricier – but damn, are these shoes hot!
HOT!
The tights pictured are a nude shade of regular fishnets, which you can find anywhere from Target, to Nordstrom, to Victoria’s Secret, etc.
I would really like to have white flowers in their hair, like shown in the vintage photo…
I just love these full flowers… they will be carrying mostly white flowers, but not as bouquets, because I think that it sounds annoying to carry around for them – so, they will have those bouquets hanging from ribbon – just like a purse!
This was just an example that I found online.
