Okay, people… so, I have been eating so many moonpies, that it is now becoming concerning….
Not really. But, I DO keep making them! Batch after batch!

How this relates to weddings: while I was baking these delicious treats, I remembered seeing a suggestion in a wedding magazine – most likely over a year ago – but, their idea was to serve moonpies with milk, and possibly even as a “take-home treat,” wrapped in a cellophane, clear bag. I remember ripping it out of the magazine immediately! However, I will not be implementing the idea at my wedding… so, instead – I suggest that somebody else, DOES!
If you’ve never had them, then you need to break out the baking sheets and marshmallow creme for the filling, and head on over to this link - this is the recipe that I regularly use. It’s GOOD!

So, give them a taste – fall in love, then make it part of your wedding, and tell me all about it! I can vicariously live through you… how grand!
I even love the name – “moonpies” – it makes them sound so whimsical, doesn’t it?

Hey Abby! I recently moved and in some horrible fashion misplaced your weddiing invitation! So I thought I’d let you know through your blog that I will be attending so please mark me down! I most likely with be bringing a date aka garrison. I’m leaving for croatia on the 13 and coming back on the 24 so unless I get stranded on an island after a horrific plane crash I will be there. Congratulations and I’m so happy for you! (3
