It can be hard to keep everyone in your wedding party together, and updated on a consistent basis… especially when they are scattered across the country, or even the world! I am currently using an idea that I thought up a few months ago…Everyone knows about using websites, and blogs, etc. to inform everyone about your wedding… you can get them for free through The Knot, or even Bed Bath & Beyond offers it with registration!
Well, why not do something specialized for your wedding party using the good old internet? Essentially, create your own social networking site, but keep it open to your wedding party only!
You can create a blog using WordPress, or Blogger - and just add “contributers” in your options menu… this means that everyone who you invite, will have a password to get view the blog, and can also write posts, add links to your blogroll…. everyone contributes to the information!
An even cooler option is Ning - which is a site that allows you to create your own social networking site on your own for FREE – basically, you can create your own “MySpace” – the entire site…. so, start a site with Ning, and then invite and add your wedding party as friends, and you guys then have your own little wedding party “MySpace” site of your own!!
It’s a very cool site…. and again, just make it exclusive to you wedding party members… it will make for a really fun way to keep everyone together and up to date! Now everyone can exchange questions, answers, information, etc. And, it’s all as easy as hopping online!!
